The Busta’s Burgers & More Giant Burger Challenge was fun. Although the restaurant was small the burger was great. We knew this was big, but what we didn’t know was that the only people who successfully completed this food challenge were professional eaters. You will hear one of the employees tell us 5 professional eaters have attempted this challenge, 4 were successful, and about 8 others tried and failed. I am aware Randy Santel , Raina Huang , and Joel Hansen – Model Vs Food were 3 of the 4 winners; however, I don’t know who the 4th was. Check out the video to see how we did.

Fat Shack 3 Sandwich Challenge

The first Fat Shack (Webster, TX) came to the Houston area in early May 2022. A friend and I wanted to be the first to attempt their 3 “Fat Shack” sandwich challenge.  We did just that during opening day lunch. The 3 sandwiches were 9” each and needed to be finished within 30 min. The sandwiches consisted of cheesesteak, chicken fingers, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, onion rings & honey-jalapeño mustard.  They were amazingly good, and very big.  Because of all the fried contents and bread, they were a little dry, and tough to get down quickly.  That said, I conquered it. I finished with 1-2 seconds to spare (barely finished) and became their first challenge winner.

7 lb. Monster Migas Breakfast Challenge

Saturday I attempted this 7lb. Migas challenge at J&J BBQ & Burgers in Cedar Park, TX (just north of Austin). It was HUGE. The migas challenge consisted of a ton of migas (mexican scrambled eggs with pico de gallo, tortilla strips, and lots of cheese), refried beans, and home fries. Once the challenge started, I couldn’t get up, or even stand up, for any reason. The whole meal had to be completed in 1 hour. It was delicious. Massive Yummy Pho Challenge

Back in May of 2022, I took on the Yummy Pho & Bo Ne Pearland Yummy Pho Challenge. This was a MASSIVE Pho bowl, and it was much bigger than I anticipated based on their menu description. The challenge consisted of 2 lbs. of meat, 2 lbs. of noodles, onions and other veggies, and a lot of broth; all of which had to be finished within 45 minutes. I would estimate it was at least 10 lbs overall. Winners receive a cash prize.

5 lb. BAT Breakfast Taco Challenge

Mid March of this year (2022), I attempted The Box Bakery and Kitchen BAT (Big Ass Taco) Challenge, and it was delicious! The challenge consisted of a 5 lb. breakfast taco filled with beans, potatoes, eggs, sausage, bacon, and cheese; the salsa I added was optional. The BAT challenge needed to be eaten in 30 minutes to be proclaimed a winner. Although I did manage to finish the BAT challenge, my time was nowhere close to the record, and was one of the mid to slower times at 24:28 min. This breakfast taco was great, and the Box Bakery & Kitchen makes some amazing treats! Check them out.

BAT Breakfast Taco Challenge Winner

Following the challenge, they took my championship photo. For beating the challenge, I won a $20 gift card and a cookie. Don’t I look happy eating the Smores cookie! FYI… their cookies were delicious a well. I highly recommend trying them.
